EDP Programme on “CORORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ” on 31ST January, 2013 for ITDC
A 1-Day EDP on “ Corporate Social Responsibility “ was organized on 31st January 2013 for ITDC Limited at JANPATH Hotel, New Delhi. The programme was attended by 22 Functional Managers of ITDC Limited.
The 1st session was conducted by Prof. B.D.Singh who gave insights and overview on CSR, it’s perspective, Why it is important and relevant in PSU’s. Using a unique training methodology of Lectures and Experiential Learning Through Best Practices Sharing and Experiences Sharing, he impressed upon the imperative need of Corporate Social Responsibility and imbibed amongst the participants the three fold facets of Corporate Social Responsibility.
The 2nd session was conducted by Dr.Poonam Kumar who spoke planning CSR Activities for the inclusive development of the organization and to identify, prioritize and engage the organization’s key stakeholders in CSR Activities. Using Live Case Studies, Dr.Poonam engaged the participants in learning how to report CSR.
The 1st post-lunch session ( 3rd session ) was taken by Dr. Poonam Kumar, who used Lecture Method to drive home the concepts and importance of CSR Guidelines issued by DPE
( Department of Public Enterprises )
The last session was conducted by Prof. Saurabh Mittal. Through Live Cases and Exercises pertaining to hospitality industry ( Street Vending in Tourism ), Prof. Saurabh Mittal spoke about the essence of best practices in CSR in organizations today.
The programme was extremely successful and the overall feedback of the programme was 8.615 on a scale of 10.The course content, in particular as well as the delivery and the training methodology adopted by the faculty was highly appreciated.
